De rol van gas in de Nederlandse energiehuishouding op de korte en lange termijn

In het Nederlandse energiesysteem heeft aardgas altijd een zeer belangrijke rol gespeeld. Na een daling de laatste jaren is de verwachting dat de rol van aardgas verder afneemt op middellange (2023 / 2030) en op de lange termijn (2050). Dit artikel schetst de verwachte ontwikkelingen in de rol van gas in de Nederlandse energietransitie. Daarbij wordt ook een breder begrip van de definitie van gas gehanteerd en wordt ingegaan op relevante ontwikkelingen aan zowel vraag- als aanbodzijde van de gasmarkt.
